TNA Wrestling's flagship show "Impact Wrestling" could soon be without a home -- Spike TV quietly let the league know it's not renewing their TV contract … TMZ has learned.

Multiple sources with direct knowledge of the deal ... tell us Spike execs contacted TNA President Dixie Carter late last week to break the news -- and the following day Carter informed members of her inner circle.

TNA's current deal with Spike reportedly runs through October. It's unclear at this point when "Impact Wrestling" will stop airing on Spike.

We're told there's no bad blood, and Spike gave TNA such advance notice so it would have time to shop for a new TV deal.

TNA's show debuted on Spike TV in October 2005 -- and helped the league rise to #2 on the wrestling scene … behind the WWE.

We've called TNA and Spike for comment ... so far, no word back.

Not a TNA fan but for TNA fans sake y'all better hope its not true. I use Solomonster as I believe he the first that I heard predicted the idea. I believe lots of people saw this coming though. With TNA working with Russo which is a stupid idea. To the May-June tapings that were awful and is by far arguably the worst tapings in Wrestling history according to some people. Such a shame.

Thank god.

It'll be sad not seeing Aries and Roode and Sanada and Storm on a weekly basis though.

A lot of those guys are extremely talented and deserve to be showcased, but the product was crap up until recently, which is only a throwback WCW/ECW - it's not really going into the future much.

Ever since Aces & Eights, the show has tanked. That storyline ran ridiculously past its expiration date, and then they gave us a stupid power trip storyline with MVP. That actually had potential since it'd been a while since we'd seen a babyface authority figure that had charisma and could wrestle at the same time, yet they abruptly and stupidly turned him heel to feud with a heel Dixie, who also never should've turned heel. Kurt Angle's fine as the new babyface GM, but it's only a matter of time before they f*** that up too, if they even last that long.

Their contract with Spike runs out in October. And from what we know. Spike doesn't want them. You know why? Vince Russo. That bastard killed WcW and now TNA. Proof? He sent an email confirming it.

I think Hogan and his cronies had a bigger part in the deaths of TNA and WCW than Russo.

But this doesn't necessarily mean the death of TNA. They are one of the most popular and well know wrestling federations. I'm guessing someone will pick them up.

WWE has trouble picking up revune and they're 100x bigger than TNA. WWE had to settle with a lower deal with USA than what they wanted. So if WWE had trouble when they looked for a network then TNA...I fear for them. The thing bout TNA is lots of it money came from Spike. So they're in a tough spot regardless if they find a channel or not. They need a channel just as popular or slightly less popular than Spike. Spike pumped millions into TNA, they even wanted to buy the promotion and take it over - no other network is going to. Not to mention that WWE, which is 100X bigger than TNA had trouble finding interest with other networks and ultimately had to settle with USA for a lower revenue deal that they expected.

I heard something about TNA lying about Vince Russo's involvement with the company possibly having something to do with Spike deciding to cancel them due to a betrayal of trust. From what I've heard TNA gets like the 2nd highest viewing figures on Spike so unless the channel really just doesn't wanna show wrestling any more it must have something to do with Russo and the bad business decisions made by the owners of TNA.

Wait. If this is true, then what will all the wrestlers there do? Come to WWE?...

Most of the TNA guys who have made the transition from TNA to WWE have normally gone straight to NXT because they don't know 'the WWE' way of wrestling. I'm sure if TNA do completely disappear then WWE might be tempted to lure a talent or two over but unless they're a former WWE star that they actually want back (which isn't always guaranteed) the chances of a TNA guy going straight into RAW or Smackdown aren't that high - at least not in my opinion.

TNA went donwhill fast as far as actual entertainment goes. The TNA boy fanboys whine "But they have lots of talent. Blah blah blah." Yeah, so did WWF, WCW, and ECW. The reason why Vince McMahon is able to beat the competition and stay on top is his ability to elevate his superstars into the mainstream and draw in huge audiences every week. TNA was failing hard when they brought in WWE's old washed up wrestlers. Most of the storylines were crap and the matches were just awkward to watch. I really hope AJ Styles goes to ROH or WWE. He's someone I really liked.

AJ Styles left quite awhile ago, he's currently dominating in New Japan as their top champion. Part of a stable named The Bullet Club, good for him. He's definitely made the best decision.

Aye thank goodness he jumped that sinking ship.

But all my WWE biased aside, TNA was really good at one point. I think the company had potential but the figures in charge really blew it

Well Just Angle and Jeff Hardy both said they're ending their career in WWE and angle contract runs out in STP which the same month TNA contract runs out. Its a work! xD. Also I think most TNA stars will be going to RoH, Global Force, Japan, or a very few to NxT. Also yes Russo "works" for TNA which a big "no no" for Spike and their contract with Japan.

Russo killed WcW
Russo killed TNA

Who's next!

Just goes to show that Russo is the biggest heel in the business.

Now that he's done with TNA that surely means he's started a streak having been part of their downfall and of course WCW's as well.
